The return of Lanzini.
With West Ham getting knocked out of the cup and it would seem not much really to play for, apart from trying to get 7th.

The return of Lanzini is actually something to look forward too.

No doubt he’s class and if he didn’t get injured he may of played for Argentina in the World Cup.

Let’s he returns the player we saw at home to Everton at the end of last season, the thought of him linking up with AnderSON is exciting.

Irons.

I don't think 7th is the only thing to play for but the manager has said he wants to be in Europe. Can't see too much experimentation until that is out of the question.

Yes. If that clicks we could be great to watch and knock a few sides over.

Re: The return of Lanzini.
Nothing to play for except 7th spot? I hope that's not the attitude of the manager and squad, because after a mediocre season which had some awful patches, especially at the start, this is exactly the time to develop a settled first team, try out some tactical variations, and fight for some good results. Complacency now = another bad run in the autumn.

Expect he might be on the bench again at Man City but hopefully starts v Newcastle
Him behind Arnautovic with Anderson and Antonio on either side would be useful

Re: The return of Lanzini.
Missed a couple of opportunities to either shoot or pass, the game was pretty frentic at the end so understandable.
Sometimes coming on near the end of a game can throw a player especially one coming back from a long time out.
Hopefully a winning cameo appearance on Wednesday will do him good

Wouldve been playing for a champions league side if he hadnt got the injury. Lots of attention here in argentina about his come back.

Jesus Eerie, in a playing sense. Having to carry the team basically alone on his shoulders.

Obviously not for his life in general.

Looked a little timid in the last third but should come with game time.

Did look quick enough and can still pass. Good things to come just keep it cool and don't over do it with him.

Lanzini and his ball retention will be huge for pellers

Have to say rice has a pass success of over 85% which surprised me... having rice, Lanzini and another will be great to see

Anderson...……… Lanzini.........…..Yarmolenko

"Felt really sorry for him"

The young professional footballer multi millionaire will respect your sympathy for him, once he has finished shagging his supermodel girlfriend.

Looked good. He’s just got that quickness that no-one else has on the ball. Really noticeable when he came on.

I can’t wait for him to play with Anderson, Arnie and Nasri. Could be very effective and very exciting.

Felt really sorry for him the last two seasons. He was basically having to do it all on his own in terms of making things happen from midfield. He could have a field day now.

The yellow he got when he came on (to level the card count) cost me £50 thanks Manu...

A whole season of Lanzini, Anderson, Yarmolenko and (a motivated and committed) Arnautovic would have been really good, I think. Especially with Snodders, Antonio and Hernandez in the mix.

We can just never seem to bloody keep everyone fit.

Remember when we had Bellamy and Ashton and they barely played together as far as I recall. Every time one was fit the other was out.

Re: The return of Lanzini.
Be very surprised if he plays at all. But just to have him there, prepared, should be a massive boost to any faint hearted teammates. It's a shame: if we'd had Lanzini and Anderson all season, just imagine? Sir Trev + Devo Mk 2. Rice can be Bonzo.

BAMBOOZLING football would be seen.

Give him 10-20 mins at the end depending on how the game is going. If it's not overly feisty then pop him on.

Bowboy
Agree with that not the sort of game to bring him back.Fulham are desperate for points plus they know how to leave a boot in.
When we had the old football combination league that was ideal to blood youngsters and players coming back from injury.
